How to Update TAC Gateway

PortSys will release periodic updates with new features, fixes and improvements to the TAC Gateway software for a secure and reliable user experience.

Note: DO NOT uninstall the PortSys TAC Gateway software from Windows programs and features unless recommended by PortSys.

IMPORTANT: TAC update can be done in no downtime as installing new TAC update does not impact active user sessions until "Äpply Configuration"perform with the "Reset all current sessions and enforce usage of the new configuration,"  checkbox checked. Although PortSys recommends to do the update in a maintenance window for better update process and take necessary backups prior to update.

Updating directly from oldest TAC versions (2-6-1702-2119) to latest version may require downtime and may impact existing user sessions as server reboot may required.
